Takashi Murakami x G-Shock Frogman

Since 2002, Takashi Murakami has hosted a weekly “Art Dojo FM” radio show on Japanese radio station Tokyo FM. 2010 marks, the radio station’s 40th year on the air, so to celebrate, they enlisted Casio to produce a translucent red G-Shock Frogman, complete with Takashi Murakami “flower” artwork on the caseback and packaging (there’s a mini pillow in the box!), as well as the artist’s signature across the strap. The watch will be released on September 11, 2010 and is limited to 300 pieces.

SUPER debuts their Autumn 2010 collection of eyewear. The offering is comprised of four distinct releases. The first is a handful of new People colors (pictured above), taking the colored frame concept a step further with a less basic shape. Michael Lau x Nike Sportswear BMX Beijing 2008 Blazer High Sample

During Hong Kong artist and toy-maker Michael Lau’s recent MiXTRA SHOE.SHOP SAMPLE exhibition, a previous project from the talented creative was put on display. Over two years ago, Lau was commissioned by Nike Sportswear to create a Blazer High that honored the incoming Olympic sport of BMX. A sample white version was displayed at the exhibition, and a more subtle version relative to the released yellow Blazer.

I know that is the question on everyones mind, due to the lack of blog post as of late. I truly apologize to you all for not being as active as we usual are. I hope that at the end of the day, you can understand and appreciate the changes being made. I have been in the lab creating the #DOPE-NESS that you love. I have been everywhere you can name (streets/club/bars/stores/schools) keeping us relevant. Envius Couture's (President) Jason has been "ALL IN" tying up any loose ends on the back end and making our business logistics, current. Jason and his wife just had their first baby (Mr. Chase Alexander).. I'm sure, I don't have to tell you how Jason's day to day life has made a drastic change.

Together we will continue to keep Envius Couture a "10" on the Freshness meter. To better help us do so, We also also like to welcome a new member to the Envius Couture family... Miss Kimberly Harris! Kimmy has come on board as our business administrator. She keeps the gears turning w/ an occasional, well deserved "Tongue Lashing" to keep us grounded.

Lupe Fiasco fans and stans (i’m probably somewhere in the middle) have had enough! Give us “Lasers” immediately! We’ve had two solid singles and a bunch of free music from Mr. Jaco, but the album isn’t slated for release. In fact, the label even gave away one of his songs to B.O.B. (google: Lupe Fiasco Nothing on You B.O.B.). If you’re a fan/stan of Lupe you can help push the label by signing a petition to Atlantic Records.

It’s a shame that it’s gotten to this point. Lupe is clearly one of the most talented artists in the game and you would think he’s sold enough records in the past to help his project move out the doors. Maybe he didn’t agree to do a feature heavy, 12 track album like everybody else. Here’s the petition

Nike Canarinho – SU10 – Footwear

Brazil just got ousted from the 2010 World Cup, and though this model is meant to highlight the season of Brazil’s success, today proved to be disappointing. The Canarinho collection yet again showcases Brazilian artists, and each of these models is inspired by the color palates popular in the late 50s, specifically 1958’s World Cup, during which Brazil defeated Sweden 5-2 to win the Cup. Two Blazer Highs, a Tennis Classic, and a Dunk low appear in the collection. The Dunk low features a pair of scissors on the toe, representing the numbers that were cut and sewn by hand on their uniforms back then. In support of the coming unity under globalization, creative collective :Phunk Studio make the case in Welcome To Electricity, the first solo exhibition for the group in Japan. To take place at DIESEL DENIM GALLERY AOYAMA, the exhibit is the latest evolution of a concept, which first took shape in 2006. Where love is the common language, there will be no borders, no barriers. Instead, through globalization, :Phunk Studio realized a little of utopia itself, an ideal urban space where you could take part too at the showing. Welcome To Electricity is set to open Friday, July 23rd and be on display October 11th of this year.

Pharrell Williams x Creative Cycles Custom Harley Davidson

Rides Magazine has hooked up Pharrell Williams with Creative Cycles to work on a custom Harley Davidson. Most of you, including us, probably expected a multicolored beast with some bling accents set by Jacob the Jeweler. We can happily report that that was not the case. The custom Harley actually came out really nice – the motorcycle features a mix of black, matt green and chrome on the exterior. Of course Pharrell gave it some Billionaire Boys Club branding, including graphics on the tank and a custom BBC digi camo seat. If you want more info on the motorcycle, make sure to pick up the next issue of Rides Magazine.

Nike Livestrong Dunk High Premium Tier Zero

We take a look at the new Nike Livestrong Dunk High Premium Tier Zero, which will be releasing tomorrow at Undefeated La Brea in LA. The high top sneaker comes in a black premium leather version with subtle yellow accents on the upper and a matching yellow outer sole. Furthermore it features a multicolor stripe accent on the heel.
